About Beyond Obedience

My name is Erin and I am the Owner and trainer. I have been teaching people and animals for over 15 years. I have had a dog most of my life and have always loved being with animals.

My career started in a zoological setting teaching the public about conservation and our wildlife. I worked with many different species but my passion was training parrots and birds of prey. Training birds to fly and do other natural behaviors was one of the coolest things I have ever done. I even worked with Noah, a Bald Eagle, that went to the Philadelphia Eagles football games.

During Covid, I switched careers and found my new passion; building a relationship between people and dogs. I am continuously educating myself on different techniques, tools and methods to make sure I am doing what is best for you and your pup.

I will work with all ages and breeds from puppy potty training to fear aggression. I do have a soft spot for anxious and fearful dogs. They can be a challenge but with the right training and care they could be your greatest accomplishment! I have two fearful dogs that I rescued that have a very different life now and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
